It seems the dogs in Mexico take advantage of any shade. We had only been stopped a few minutes before this one decicded to camp out.

At the butterfly reserve, we were immediately besieged by 'helpful' kids who told us they would make sure our stuff was safe, for a price of course. We gave this guy a santa pinata, he wqas super stoked.

Some more of our 'helpers'

They were all super excited about the bike. It was in the truck because I hadn't fixed the rear fender yet.

This cross was at a church in a small town that I can't remember the name of right now.
It has an interesting mix of christian and mexican imagery.

We stopped at a small road side restaurant for breakfast.
It turned out to be a buffet style place that had an awesome stove/steam table made out of cement and it used clay pots for the food. At the closest end there was a provision for making tortillas. Very cool and pretty tastey

This guy was hiding out at the breakfast place.

Later that same day, or it may have been the next, we stopped in another small town for lunch.
It turned out the small roast chicken stand we chose was brilliant.
This litte dog was chilling out, hoping for some gravity to help it out.

The roast chicken stand, as it turned out was the hot corner in the town for food. The guy also sold fresh fish. Fresh as in a tub full of water with live fish which he would bonk, weigh, and gut with incredibole dexterity.

Our first aftrenoon in Guadalahara found us at a food court style market that was pretty decent.
As we left our dinner spot, I spotted this poster with the full intention of pulling it down and keeping it. It turned out it was advertisng an event for the next day!

We scored amazing tickets, six rows from the ring and right beside the ramp the Luchadores
walked down to get in the ring and engage in battle!
The next few photos are not the best quality and for that I apologize.
But I assure you I did my best considering the danger I was in.
I risked getting expelled from the event by sneaking in my camera and taking covert photos.
You're welcome.

Tommorow we are heading to the coast.
Planning on a couple of easy days to get there. Puerto Vallarta is only 350 km away.
I am so pleased you got to go to a fight! I can't wait to hear more about it. -Robin
