A trip to Mexcio by the Numbers

For as long as I remember I have been fascinated with maps.
Perhaps it was the piles of National Geographic magazines we had when I was a kid.
To me, they are a window to other places, full of information that's at your fingertips and that's cool.
So with the help of an online map I figured out, roughly, just how many miles we will putting behind us.
12 800 Km
Thats a hair under 8000 miles for those of you south of the border.
And we have 48 days to do it.
No, let me correct that.
We have 48 days to enjoy it.
more math:
12 800 km in 48 days=
we have to do about 266 km a day.
Not too bad considering the straight shot to and from the US Mexico Border.

Based on previous trips, here's my guess for how much fuel we are going to use.
Just over 14.
That's just over 1400 liters of Diesel.
And that's kind of gross to think about.
I'm going to try and figure out a good map so we can post progress as we go.
Or perhaps I'll get the technical team on it.
